Ascension is one of the fastest growing parishes in Louisiana, and its number of registered and elected Republicans is growing as well. Party membership, which was less than 9,000 in the year 2000, today stands at more than 19,400 or 29.5%, and there are now twenty-one elected Republican officials representing constituents within the parish.

Candidate Forum is Program for Ascension GOP Roundtable

A forum with judicial candidates, Jessie LeBlanc and Matthew Pryor, is the featured program for the Ascension GOP Roundtable, sponsored by Ascension Republican Women. The Roundtable is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th at NOON at Kamal’s Kafe, 13091 Airline Hwy. in Gonzales. (11:30 to 12:00 – Socializing; Noon – Meeting)

LeBlanc and Pryor, candidates for District Judge, 23^rd Judicial District Court, will face off in the Presidential Primary election that will be held on March 24th^th.
