Welcome to the Ascension GOP Website! The information resource for persons interested in Ascension is one of the fastest growing parishes in Louisiana, and its number of registered and elected Republicans is
growing as well. Party membership, which was less than 9,000 in the year 2000, today stands at more than 18,800, and there are now twenty elected Republican officials representing constituents within the parish.

Christopher Holton, Vice President with the Center for Security Policy, a Washington DC-based national security think tank, will be the featured speaker at the at the June Meeting of the Greater Baton Rouge Pachyderms. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 25th at 6:30 p.m. at The Great Wall Restaurant, 3084 College Drive at Village Square. For the past 5 years, Holton has focused primarily on terrorism and Jihad as director of the Center’s Divest Terror Initiative and Shariah Risk Due Diligence Project. Recently, he completed a “train the trainer” course in educating state and local law enforcement and elected officials in our Jihadist enemies’ threat doctrine-Shariah Law and the extensive influence operations run by the Muslim Brotherhood and supporters of the Iranian Islamic regime in the US.
